Help with
Hypertension...
...can
lead to blocked arteries and serious damage to many parts of the body,
including the brain and the heart. Each year, too many Black men and
women suffer heart attacks, have strokes, and become ill as a result of
having uncontrolled blood pressure.
Why take a chance with your life and health, when you can
take control by taking advantage of the monthly blood pressure
screenings offered by the Nurses’ Ministry on the 3rd Sunday of each
month.
For your convenience a nurse will be available to take
blood pressures in the Nurses’ Room/Health Station located on the upper
level and in the lower level immediately following worship service.
Please take the time to combat (high
blood pressure) “The Silent Killer”.
In Case of Emergency
The Nurses’ Ministry will create a personal health and
emergency contact card for any church member willing to participate. We
would like for you to inform us of your particular health issues such
as diabetes, hypertension, allergies etc. All information given will be
held in the strictest confidence and used only to address
your health needs in an emergency. For anyone interested in
participating the health cards are available in the nurse’s room] health
station.
