| Evangelism is
absolutely necessary! It is a mandate that Christ left with the church.
Matthew 28:19-20 is the church’s mandate to evangelize.
A good model for Church Evangelism is Acts 24, 41, and 47.
The definition of
evangelism is: “Making known the good news of Jesus Christ to a dying
world.” A more formal definition
is, “Evangelism… the verbal and visible declaration of the death, burial,
and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the sis of mankind, done with the intent of
leading people to salvation.”
Clearly, the
scriptures teach us that we are to be witnesses.
We are to lead the lost to Christ. We
are to share the good news of the gospel.
Thus, my vision for Evangelism is to witness, share the gospel
with 20,000 souls, with the intent to win 2,000 souls.
