Community Anchors Program
The Community Anchors
Program is a
program that provides services to enhance the lives of people within the
community surrounding the St. John Baptist Church.
Presently, we have two programs in operation as follows:
Seniors Program (Golden Eagles)
This program provides senior
activities that are designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and
spiritual needs for our Seniors.
Activities thus far have
included:
- Shopping trips
- Informational lectures on
health issues
- Arts and crafts
- Fellowship
Youth Program
Currently, we are preparing an
after school drug and gang prevention program…a program that is aimed at
providing information on the deadly effects of drug use and participation in
gangs. This program targets
grammar school students, who are faced with being introduced to these
destructive vices.
